My name is Srin Madipalli and I am a powered wheelchair user due to a disability called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. I created abilient.com to provide a full and complete database of user reviews for powered wheelchairs, and to ensure we can share the know-how developed to make living independently that much easier. I developed this site because when I was looking recently looking for wheelchairs I was unable to find any views on the Internet from actual users. All I could find was promotional stuff from the wheelchair manufacturer, which didn't always provide the full picture.

About Me

I am 25 years old and live and work in the City of London as a lawyer at a leading commercial law firm in London. During the last 6 months of 2010, I took some time off to go travelling around the world. All the know-how and useful accessibility information I gathered I have posted on a a dedicated travel page. I was even able to go Scuba Diving in Bali, and how I managed it is shown in the two YouTube videos below and detailed in a guest blog article that you can read by clicking here.
